Wood Left Hand
What do you think about the start of my story?
I thought that I would never be faced with this problem again, but here it was charging at such a pace back into my life as if it had never left. An older gentleman thought as he watched through his window at a pair of headlights growing brighter as the vehicle approached the log cabin. Feeling that every time he puts forth the effort to leave the comfort of his recliner his lower back dies a little, but the annoying task of restarting the fire was enough motivation to spark his interest. As he reached for another stick of wood to put onto the fire his eyes focused in on the scar on his left hand. Almost instantly those entire once to be thought lost memories resurfaced. He couldn’t help but remember every detail from that day. Sliding his recliner he glanced at the picture of his grandchildren sitting on his desk at the other side of the room. With that his eyes closed and the sound of a car door shutting was the last thing he could commit to memory as he drifted off to sleep.
