1997 Lincoln Town Car ignition and steering wheel?
Somebody tried to steal my boyfriend’s car last night when we went to the club and I was needing your help on how to find the car part that was broken off. They broke the ignition and ignition cover to where it only starts now with a screwdriver being poked inside the ignition. Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to replace that and will the steering wheel have to be replaced as well? Thanks in advance
You can have the steering column rebuilt getting the ignition part replaced. It usually cost about $200 dollars to have it rebuilt and re-keyed,you can use all of the parts that in the steering column that you all ready have, you just need the aluminum housing replaced! I have one right now I need rebuilt because my niece got mad and throw the keys away, and when we tried to remove the tumbler the aluminum housing broke, and steering columns for a 92 ford f150 that tilt are hard to find!
