Junior Youth Golf
Am I qualified for Northwestern?
I’m currently a sophomore in high school (I know that might seem early) but I just want to make sure I’m on the right track and if not, how to improve. I am in AP history and Accelerated english (I’m doing great in all of my classes). I am in my American Rights Political club, Student Council, and Broadcasting club (I plan on joining debate team or speech but our school only allows us to participate in 3 clubs). I wasn’t able to do golf this year because of an injury. I’m actively involved in community service and my youth group. I’m also interning for two law firms as a junior. I’m hoping to go into law. Do you think I should apply for Northwestern when it comes that time? If not, how should I improve?
You sound qualified, stay on the same track! Competitive colleges like to see you taking leadership positions, so being in all those clubs is great, but admissions deans would rather see you take a leadership role in one of those clubs, than just to simply be in 3 or 4 of them. They like quality more than quantity. But youre on the right track!
