Iron Right Handed

Am I entitled to wear my great-Grandfather’s Iron Cross on my right side?
Yes, he fought on our side, but he earned an Iron Cross. Can I wear it with the rest of his, and my Grandfather’s medals, on my right hand side?
1. A person is leglly entitled to wear family medals on their RIGHT breast- only those the wearer earned THEMSELVES may be worn on the right breast.
2. My great-Grandfather earned it for EXTREME COURAGE during WW1, BEFORE the Nazi regime, for pausing during an advance to tend to a wounded German soldier. This is why I want to wear it, with HONOUR because of his bravery and open-mindedness, regardless of the fact it was awarded by the enemy.
Please show a little respect.
3. Note- my error. I meant that family medals are perfectly able to be worn on the right. One’s own medals are worn on the left.
wear them with pride. your Grand Father would be over the moon that you should hold him in such esteem. both! armies were made up of brave young men doing what they thought was right. your Grand Father sounds like quite! a feller. its nice to see you are proud of him.
