Green Label Italian
I am looking for Madoro. Not sure if this is the correct name of the wine but it is a sweet Italian sparkling.?
The bottle is very distinctive as it is a brighter green with swirls in the glass and a gold label. I hope this is right. Kind of looks like a pretty jeannie bottle. They say it has changed distributors in the US. Want to give as a gift to a person who likes it very much.
Lambrusco is a sweet Italian sparkling red wine, but not what I think you’re looking for… There is Muscato, another Italian sparkling wine, but Muscato is a white wine, and again, not what I think you’re looking for…
Try a Maculan Madoro, from Veneto, Italy. If you “Google” Maculan Madoro, you will get several websites that you can purchase this through. The 2004 vintage is almost sold out (at least at the few sites I tried), and there is no 2005. You should be able to get a 2006 without breaking the bank… Check out these sites, and perhaps you will find the particular bottle you’re looking for!
Also, in closing… If you have a quality, reputable wine shoppe in your area, ask them about this as well. Odds are good that they will know exactly what you’re looking for, and may have it in stock!
