Can you please help me!?
1) A box contains 4 blue golf tees, 2 red ones, 1 yellow tee, and 3 white ones. Two tees are randomly drawn from the box. Find the probability of choosing a blue tee followed by a red one, if the first tee chosen is returned to the box before choosing the second tee. Please type your answer as a fraction. Do not forget to reduce if needed!
2) The numbers 1 through 9 are written on slips of paper and placed into a hat. Two slips are randomly drawn. If the first slip of paper is returned to the hat after it is drawn, find the probability of getting a number greater than 6 and then a three? Please type your answer as a fraction. Do not forget to reduce if needed!
3) What is the probability of randomly drawing a King from a standard deck of cards, replacing it, and then drawing a spade?
There are 10 tees in the box. The odds of pulling a blue one is 4/10 then if you return it the box and draw again the odds of drawing a red one is 2 in 10. The odds to pull a blue tee return it to the box and pull a red tee are 4/10 x 2/10 = 8/100 = 4/50 = 2/25
There are 9 slips of paper in the hat, 3 of them (7, 8 & 9) are greater then 6 so the probability of drawing one greater then 6 is 3/9. Once you return the first slip there is still only 1 three in the hat so the chance to draw the 3 is 1/9. The chance of these two events occuring back to back from a given draw is 3/9 x 1/9 = 1/3 x 1/9 = 1/27
A deck of cards has an equal number of cards for each of the 13 possible values, assuming no jokers. So the odds to draw a king from a full deck on any given draw is 1/13. The deck also has an equal number of cards from each of the 4 suits so the probability of drawing a spade on a given draw is 1/4. The chance of these two events occuring back to back starting at any given draw is 1/13 x 1/4 = 1/52
