What is the funniest thing you have ever seen by someone who was blind?
One time at the W117th Rapid in Cleveland this lady was helping some blind guy and she walked him right into a hard light pole and he really hit his head hard. I saw him a few minutes later on the ramp waiting for the train and the lump on his forehead was as big as a golf ball.
Hmmm….I don’t find the pain of anybody funny but my little sister was cuter when she was younger. I would complain about how ugly or fat I looked in my teen-age insecurities and she would sweetly pipe, “I think you look gorgeous” but then when I complained about wearing tattered clothing or something undeniably ugly her response was always, “I don’t care. I can’t see you anyways.” Her selective sight also worked well during chore and friend times. Mum would ask for a certain chore such as washing the dishes to be done and of course she couldn’t see well enough to do that (weakest excuse ever, by the way) but then she would be able to see well enough to go to a skating rink birthday party of a sighted friend! I always found her choosing what she can and cannot see a cute little quirk.
