Cavity Back Irons
How do I convince my uncle(i live with him) to get me new golf irons?
I’m 16 years old and I would like to consider myself one of the best junior golfers in my city. I live with my uncle, he is like a father to me, so it isn’t just a normal uncle-nephew relationship. I am a 2 handicap and I am currently playing with cavity back irons which don’t offer much control. I have had them for a few years. However college is getting closer and I need to step up my game even more so I can play for a school. I want to get forged blades which run around $1000. How do I convince him I need them? He will just say, “If your already playing good now then how will these help you?” However since he hasn’t swung a club in 22 years, he doesn’t believe equipment makes a difference. And money isn’t an issue.
